Referendum on the UK's membership of the European Union

Thursday 23 June 2016

For this Referendum the UK will be divided into electoral regions.  Wiltshire Council will be part of the South West and Gibraltar region.  The Regional Counting Officer, Paul Morris, Poole Borough Council has overall responsibility for this region.

The Local Counting Officer for Wiltshire Council is Dr Carlton Brand.   He and his team are responsible for organising and arranging the running of the Referendum and subsequent counting of votes for the Wiltshire Council voting area.  The results for the Wiltshire Council voting area will then be provided to the Regional Counting Officer.

The Regional Counting Officer will collate the region's results and feed them to the National collation centre.  The overall result will be declared once all the regional results from around Great Britain have been supplied.
