Polls taking place from 7 May 2024 onwards
Where a poll is to be held on or after 7 May, to be eligible to stand as a candidate and be elected, EU citizens will need to have been resident in the UK prior to 31 December 2020 and have leave to enter or remain in the UK, or not require such leave or be a citizen from an EU5 country (Denmark, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal and Spain).
